Flip 2010

This weekend saw a familiar trip to Wolverhampton's Flip festival I spent Friday evening and all day Saturday at the festival met some great fellow animators Drew Roper,Anita Shukla to name but a few..I also managed to get some great feedback for the film I submitted which on this occasion wasn't quite success in getting in the festival however I found out why and I was generally quite heartened by the feedback. I also got to watch the 3D film Despicable me which I think was a laugh a minute from start to finish the animation worked well and the story was not too bad generally a big thumbs up. As for the festival there was a some interesting new films shown particularly in the open shorts and student competitions I agreed with the panel's decision for the winner of the student competition. I bumped into so old faces and made some new acquaintance's also all in all Flip festival is an ever improving, interesting festival that I hope will be around for many years and I intend to keep showing my support.
